Don’t expect your Tv to last any longer than 10,000 hours or 4 years if you use your TV on average 6 hours a day. . No OLED is immune, they will all face the same death.
So while LG OLED TVs are known for their excellent picture quality and deep blacks, they are also very susceptible to potential issues like burn-in and screen degradation, which you won’t notice till its too late and the warranty is well and truly up…
Burn-in refers to permanent damage to the LG’s OLED pixels caused by displaying static images or elements for extended periods of time. This can result in uneven wear on the pixels, leading to visible ghosting or image retention, where faint remnants of previous images are still visible on the screen. Burn-in will occur on if static images with high brightness or contrast are displayed for hours on end, such as the channel logos, video game HUDs, really any static on-screen elements.
One major issue with LG’s OLED TVs is the “red sub-pixel burn-in.”
Each pixel on an OLED TV consists of four sub-pixels: red (R), green (G), blue (B), and white (W) which work together to produce a wide range of colours. These sub-pixels emit light independently when activated. However, over time, the organic material in the OLED sub-pixels can degrade unevenly, and the red sub-pixel is particularly susceptible to this degradation. This will cause people skin to look washed out.

Blown away ! So after having this incredible TV for 2 days now I am simply blown away on every aspect. Let’s start with the set up . Fantastic Tv for cinematic viewing. Upon receiving the tv the sheer enormity of the box in my living room made me think, is this tv going to be too big.
Once unpacking it was clear how secure the tv is in its robust packaging and that the tv was the perfect size for my room.
Its slim profile allows it to fit well onto my raised stand making it look like it floats above the TV unit.
The ultra-thin bezel makes the screen appear almost borderless, will give it that “in the movie” type feel.
Upon switching on the setup is intuitive and easy and the tv was up and running in less than 10 minutes.
All the smart apps are there like i expected and the magic remote is a dream to use. I have had an LG TV with a magic remote in the past and this new one has a way better feel and usability.
The first movie we watched was Mad Max: Furiosa and wow the colours and deep blacks blew me away and this was with out of the box settings. I had to calibrate my previous TV, but this one is awesome immediately. The only change i made was to turn the true motion off, but that is a personal preference. Other than that for me the picture is out of this world.
Sound quality is good, but like all TV’s not as good as it is with a sound bar or speaker system. But it again is way better than my previous TV.
There are so many features and things to play with you could sit and play for hours. The phone app is also a
Great addition allowing me to control tv with my iPhone and also register warranty etc.
Gaming on my console is also fantastic on Game optimisation mode. Dolby vision colour, no lag. Full screen video. Tremendous.
Apple mirror is also seamless, you can get youtube on your phone, pick the video you want and then stream it to the tv, without even using tv remote.
All in all this is the best TV i have ever seen and it looks amazing in my living room. I cant wait to start watching all my 4K Blu-ray’s again. Can’t recommend this tv highly enough it is top spec.

Amazingly vivid picture. I bough this bigger 77” for our living room already having the 65” in the bedroom. This TV has the most vivid and natural looking motion picture I’ve seen. Colours are true and not over boosted – the remote control is a dissapointment. Feels and looks cheap and plasticky. The motion sensor in it is not accurate as much as my 7 years old LG to remote. However apart from the remote I have nothing else to add on the down side. The sound is quite clear and perfect for movies and watching tv in general. If you’re listening to lots of music is worth considering a sound bar. I have to also mention the ultra thin bezel. It is made from brushed metal and looks very premium

Amazing TV & display. This TV is amazing. Bought this as a monitor to get an OLED display with high refresh rate for my PS5 and MacBook Pro. The display clarity and color richness is stunning. Graphics look incredible, and even fonts for productivity purposes are impressively sharp. And it’s fun that it’s actually a TV, with all popular apps built in. Arguably one of the best displays out there.

Great quality. Great picture quality! Best I’ve seen in a TV yet. However, about 45 mins into watching the first movie on it, there was a weird glitch on the screen. It even stopped with the movie when we push pause. Not sure why it did that. It said shortly after that, there was an update and they would be finalized or something when the tv was restarted. We restarted the tv and it hasn’t happened since. We have only watched two movies since then. I’m hoping it doesn’t do it again. Other than that we are very happy with the quality.

Brilliant but with some flaws in the control dept. I think the tv is fantastic with brilliant image quality and audio is good too. Having used it for a week now I feel that the software interface is not so good and I dislike the floating mouse like part which is more of a hindrance. I have not found out how to disable it yet.

We was initially nervous about handling it and fitting on the wall – we needn’t have been, it was super easy and not as heavy as anticipated – truly plug and play. Thought had also gone into the positions of the sockets in the rear, and the side for the HDI cables etc…. Easily accessible. Very minimum setup, plugged the TV in and updated the system and the apps. Time from unpacking disconnecting original TV to being sat down with the new TV fully setup watching our fantastic early Christmas present no more than 1.5 hours. The sound is superb, we found the sound better on the TV than our soundbar, the interface on the home screen is intuitive and easy to use, picture quality exceptional.

Extremely low input lag combined with variable refresh rate, Dolby Vision gaming, FreeSync Premium Pro and more means that it stands out as one of the best options if you’re considering the TV for gaming use.
