Review: CarpodGo T3 Pro – The Ultimate 8.9″ Wireless Car Stereo Experience

I recently installed this CarPlay in my Jeep, and I’m really impressed with its performance. The installation was easy, and it integrated perfectly with my vehicle.

Prior to getting this CarPlay, I relied on my phone for navigation, which often caused it to overheat—especially in hot weather during long trips. With CarPlay, that problem is entirely resolved. The larger display makes following directions much easier while driving, and I no longer have to worry about my phone overheating or quickly running out of battery.

This system provides excellent convenience—it reads messages, manages phone calls, plays Apple Music, and supports various apps. The voice command feature is especially useful, allowing me to control everything hands-free while keeping my attention on the road.

After trying out a couple of disappointing Carpuride W901 Plus units, I can confidently say that this device is a real workhorse. It performs all the functions it promises and, most importantly, does so consistently. So far, its reliability has been impressive. However, given its price and somewhat limited features, I’m not entirely sure it justifies the additional cost.

I primarily use Android Auto, and I hate to admit it, but Apple CarPlay offers a much cleaner experience. When I tested it at home, it responded perfectly to my commands and handled my texts without issue. However, once installed in my truck, I found myself repeating commands and having to resend messages a few times to get them to go through.

The interface is incredibly smooth and fulfills its promises every time I power it on. It reminds me of a reliable economy car—nothing flashy, but it starts up without fail each time. That’s a significant plus.

The pairing process is outstanding; it never drops a connection and starts up seamlessly. Truly perfect!

The screen is impressive—almost as good as my Samsung S23 Ultra. It’s beautiful, though Android Auto tends to make it look a bit washed out. The colors are vibrant and clear.

The auto dimmer works exceptionally well.

I appreciate the high-quality cigarette plug, especially with its on/off button, which saves me from reaching up to the unit itself—a bit of a stretch in my truck. The additional USB port is a nice touch too.

The mount feels sturdy and stable, but I’ll have to see how it holds up over time.

On the downside, there’s no screen mirroring. I know there are arguments for and against it, but I would love to mirror what I’m watching on my phone, especially while I’m waiting in school parking lots for my daughters.

Also, the screen feels a bit small—actually, it is small. Touching some of the icons in Android Auto can be tricky, especially since I have to stretch to hit those tiny 1/4-inch icons. However, it’s also non-obtrusive.

Unlike many of the Chinese portable units that seem to promise the world, this one delivers exactly what it claims, and it does so exceptionally well. It might not be the most exciting option, but that’s not always a bad thing.

Do I recommend it? Yes, but I really wish the screen were a bit larger.

The installation took about 10 minutes, mainly spent experimenting with locations and adjusting angles. It’s truly plug-and-play—I didn’t need to do anything complicated. I was slightly apprehensive about the magnetic mount, but it’s surprisingly sturdy. I had to pull it off forcefully when I needed to remove it, which is a plus; if I find myself in a sketchy area, I can quickly take it down and conceal it. The only setup required was connecting to Bluetooth.

Overall, I highly recommend this device for anyone seeking a high-resolution, smooth, and quality CarPlay display. The only thing I regret is not buying it sooner before my road trip!

The Carpodgo unit is excellent; it powers on very quickly, offers great clarity, and works perfectly with polarized sunglasses. The only minor issue I encountered is that the included Bluetooth mic to aux doesn’t always connect to my phone, but that’s not a fault of the Carpodgo itself.
